If you share our determination to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking Compensations & Benefits Specialist - Assistant Manager, APAC & India, reporting directly Section Head to join our team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
 
About the Job
This role reports to the Area Compensation & Benefits Manager (Asia & India) to support functional responsibilities for Corporate initiated Compensation & Benefits and Global Mobility related activities in the covered countries. The role is largely internally facing within People & Culture.
 
Main Accountabilities
1.    Performance Bonus
•              Drive Bonus: support Area C&B manager to manage Drive bonus in the region, including validation/checks on process and data.
 
2.    Salary Management & Other cost initiatives
•              Liaise with Country heads to track salary increment movements and its compliance.
•              Liaise with Country heads for severance calculations.
•              Support Area C&B manager in the yearly Merit Increment exercise with guidance from Corporate C&B.
•              Work with Area C&B manager to support country leaders with local issues pertaining the salary and benefits issues.
•              Retention of records for compensation & salary changes related documents.
 
3.    Market Data
•              Liaise with external providers to participate in salary benchmarking surveys (e.g. Korn Ferry & Mercer)
•              Support Area C&B manager in review of salary structure / salary banding for the region
•              Work with Area C&B manager to carry out job mapping / matching for benchmarking as per the guidance provided by Corporate / Global Benchmarking Team.
•              (If applicable) review job family ranges for countries within region, supported by the Country heads & Corporate.
 
4.    Benefits Vendor Management
•              Support Area manager in negotiating with new / existing Benefits vendors, obtaining customer experience data, reviewing information for analysis, discussions with vendor & management.
•              Execute / implement vendor renewal activities & provide support to the country P&C contacts within APAC & India.
•              Assist with the management of the vendor platform (as applicable) e.g. validating the quality of the data on the platform, following up with employee queries based on data provided through the platform.
 
5.    Benefits Benchmarking & re-marketing exercise
•              Obtain data (benefits data collection) & clarifying information required for benefits surveys and submissions for Corporate reports & approval.
•              Help identify trends / useful insights from Benefits benchmarking data provided by the Global Benchmarking Team.
•              Analyze with Area Manager the take-up data on existing Benefits to feed into discussions around whether changes need to be made to make our packages more competitive and / or attractive to employees.
•              Support Area manager with re-marketing exercise for insurance vendors during yearly renewal period.
 
        6.    Mobility
•              Review country addendums for APAC and India region.
•              Liaise with the respective country mobility personnel and provide advice for the global mobility policies & procedures for Asia.
•              Implement & communicate new mobility practices, data requests or information cascaded from Corporate to countries within Asia.
•              Liaise with mobility vendors for data requests.
 
7.    Shares & Equity Plans
•              Implement actions for the share & equity plans according to Corporate guidelines and instructions.
 
        8.    Technical Expertise Program (TEP)
•              Implement actions for TEP according to Corporate guidelines and instructions.
 
About You
We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration / Human Resources or equivalent.
  • Minimum 6 to 8 years of experience in a Reward role - ideally gained in a large APAC Multinational Corporation (especially in energy/oil & gas industry or a specialist from consulting organization).
  • Experience of managing global processes, evidence of delivery to the deadlines / effective management of multiple activities with conflicting timelines.
  • Experience coordinating efforts across multiple countries with direct exposure to specific regional requirements affecting project deliverables.
  • Professional proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis.
 
Additional Requirement
•              Moderate travel in APAC or to Corporate HQ (Paris) if required.
•              Job location is in Malaysia.
